The Andromeda Duo is the brainchild of dynamic vocalist Andrea Butler and virtuosic jazz master Karl Tietze. The folk-jazz vocal-keys duo has a soulful sound, delivering powerful vocals and alluring accompaniment. They are known for eclectic repertoire, layering set lists with jazz standards, nostalgic show tunes, and modern classics. Andrea is a classically trained vocalist with a degree in Vocal Performance and Opera from Loyola University New Orleans. She has performed around the world, most notably at Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, and Westminster Abbey (London). 

While studying music in the birthplace of jazz, she met her extraordinary husband, Karl Tietze. Karl is a distinguished jazz percussionist and keyboardist, hailing from the San Francisco Bay Area. He holds a music degree from Loyola University New Orleans, with a focus on Jazz Percussion Performance. As a drummer, Karl has performed with many acclaimed musicians, including John Clayton, Veronica Swift, and Braxton Cook, at venues and festivals all over the country.
