Straight No Chaser 2026

The second annual Straight No Chaser: Downtown Jazz Suite returns on the evenings of Wednesday, August 5, to Friday, August 7, bringing three nights of live jazz to the heart of Richmond’s Arts District.

Designed as a prelude to the Richmond Jazz & Music Festival, Straight No Chaser showcases outstanding local straight-ahead jazz artists in a curated collection of hospitality venues throughout downtown. The series offers residents and visitors an opportunity to experience Richmond’s vibrant jazz scene while enjoying the city’s restaurants, hotels, and gathering spaces before the festival weekend begins.

Straight No Chaser celebrates Richmond’s thriving jazz community while activating downtown businesses and creating an inviting kickoff to one of the region’s premier music weekends.
